Getting the first of the garlic ready & sowing seed

I got 9 bulbs of garlic, variety 'Marko' and got them prepared this afternoon, the pile on the left is all the nice big cloves and the pile on the right are all the small cloves that are best kept for cooking. Always plant the best and biggest cloves as they will grow into the best and biggest plants.

I hope to get these in the ground in the next couple of days.

I also have three more varieties on the way so hopefully this will be our garlic supply for the following year. I think we have enough in the pantry to last until next April/May...

I also sowed a couple of trays of lettuce for the polytunnel, the last of the broad bean seeds left over from last year and the last of the onion sets into modular trays.
